If you're running SFTP or other shielded keystones into this panel, the shield needs a proper path to ground to actually block EMI/RFI — without it, a shielded run can perform no better than an unshielded one, or even introduce noise. Each panel includes a grounding earth cable to bond the panel to your rack or building earth, so shielded installations are grounded correctly from day one.
